I had zero plans for my birthday this year, but it turns out my hubby had a surprise in store for me. He took the day off to care for our baby girl and dropped me off at Kalahari, where they took care of me for the day at Spa Kalahari. As an avid planner, not knowing what was going to happen was surprisingly relaxing.


My day began at 10 a.m. with a soothing 50-minute massage from Caro. I requested for their top-picked essential oil which was a citrusy blend that made me feel incredibly calm. After the massage, I made my way to the Hydro Escape space where I enjoyed both the steam room and the herbal-infused sauna before heading to my fantastic facial with Joyia. My face received much-needed extractions and a turmeric exfoliation. My skin looked so radiant when I moved on to my manicure and pedicure with Adrianna. I loved how much attention she paid to my nails, especially given how particular I am about my manicures. I spent the remainder of the day relaxing in the jacuzzi. Though I could see the beautiful outdoor pool area from where I lounged, I opted not to sit in the sun to preserve Joyia’s handiwork.

I’m already planning my next Spa Day, especially since the ladies told me I could access the entire Hydro Escape space with any service of $75 or more. After such a relaxing day, I came home to even more surprises. I truly feel blessed!
